COURSE CANCELLATIONS

Please try to register early. Two days before the start of a course, staff will review course enrolment to ensure that there are sufficient registrants to effectively deliver the course. Classes may sometimes be postponed or cancelled due to low enrolment. On these occasions, every effort will be made to notify clients in writing or by phone.

Please ensure we have your current address as well as home phone number. Higher Marks makes every effort to offer courses as described in this calendar. However, the school reserves the right to cancel or change courses, fees, teachers, locations and hours of instruction without prior notice.

SCHOOL CLOSING IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER

With the exception of statutory or other designated holidays, Higher Marks is open throughout the year. In the event of adverse weather conditions, every available effort will be made to keep the site open. The decision to cancel classes will be made, where possible, by 7 a.m. The school will replace the customary greeting on the main phone line with an appropriate message. The school will also attempt to have 680 AM News announce our closure. Please note that the website will be updated as well, and appropriate signage will also be posted at the building when possible.

COURSE WITHDRAWALS

Once registered, a seat is reserved for the student. Students and/or guardians are academically and finacially responsible for course(s) unless an official withdrawal form is submitted to the administrative department. 4 FULL WEEK'S NOTICE is required before a child is withdrawn from the tutorial program.

Person's who submit withdrawal forms in the middle of the month will have their fees for the student's remaining portion of the proigram, adjusted according to the number of classes still to be attended in the following month. Cancellations attempted by phone, extended absences from class, or by stopping one's automatic payments are NOT valid. Fees are still due.

Refunds

Persons eligible for a refund of any amount will be mailed a refund cheque regardless of the original method of payment. Clients may also pick up their refund at the front reception if arrangements have been made in advance.
