Our Philosophy of Education

Higher Marks Educational Institute Inc is an educational intervention Institute, not a School as described in the Educational Act.

In the ideal learning situation, the spirit of cooperation should replace the spirit of competition; the spirit of affirmation should replace the spirit of devaluation.

The teacher to whom the student looks for moral leadership cannot be morally irresolute while remaining a credible and effective role model.

Teaching is effective when knowledge flows from the teacher’s mind to the student’s mind, not from the teacher’s textbook to the student’s notebook. Writing upon the mind must come before writing upon the board.

Education should serve the needs of mankind before serving the needs of industry. For, when education serves first the needs of industry, both producer and product, answering to profit, abandon principles.

A good education will equip the student to adjust to change while the learner retains the ability to give of self fearlessly.

High standards of instruction accompanied by high expectations, firm discipline and clear measures of performance create highly motivated, self-confident learners.
